๐๐„๐–๐’ | Teachers as the Star of Sucat Senior High School

 On the 3rd day of October Sucat Senior High School celebrated Teacher's Day with a program full of gratitude, recognition, and entertainment dedicated to its beloved teachers. The said event gave emphasis to the role of our educators in nurturing students. As part of the occasion, teachers were introduced one by one and greeted by Reizen Buna and Rohn Pacoma, setting a welcoming tone for the faculty and guests. 


The program commenced with an inspirational message delivered by OIC-Principal Dr. Jay Boy Evano, who praised the teacher's dedication and engaged with everyone to elevate their support and appreciation for our teachers.


After that, a message of gratitude was then delivered by SSLG President, Cristina Cipriano expressing her thanks for the school's organization for their collaborative efforts in preparing such a meaningful event. She emphasized how teachers go beyond their own duties just to guide and support their students.


To fill the air with energy, the student choir Himig SucSenian led an exciting "Guess the Picture" game, where teachers and students participated. The teacher participants were Sir France, Ma'am Lumalang, Ma'am Faye, Ma'am Marvs, and Ma'am Selencio. While students participants were Justine Poรฑado, Althea Rejuso, Romer Sanding, Alessandra Toros, and Drew Tabingo.


Part of the teachers' day celebration is an activity called "Mini Me" where selected students from different pathways and strands represent their beloved teacher imitating their styles and nature. Meanwhile, next on the program was the awarding of certificates for Mini Me teacher, presented by SSLG Secretary Janelaira Piquero and SSLG Auditor Alessandra Toros, recognizing students who portrayed their favorite teacher the best.


Next on the agenda is the very well awaited Popularity Contest presented by Ma'am Marianne Montilla in which the top three most popular teachers awarded were; Ma'am Elizabeth with 416 votes, Ma'am Marvy with 499 votes, and Sir Roman who secured the top spot with 1320 votes. 


After that, the presentation of Dedication to Duty Awards was led by OIC-Principal Dr. Jay Boy Evano, where he honoured teachers for Perfect Attentdance, Lighthouse Awards, and Heart of the Classroom.


Energy further lives up coming from the performances prepared by students, including a song dedicated to teachers by PVA 1101, a dance performance by Cypheria and SSLG, and a musical number from the SSHS Band, Midnight Stars. But there's more to that, raffle draws were also held throughout the program, which delighted teachers and staff.


The program concluded with closing remarks delivered by Ma'am Marianne Montilla, who expressed another accomplishment of everyone throughout the noble mission of teaching.

๐๐„๐–๐’ | SSHS 1st Founding Anniversary: ‎Color Fun Run ‎

‎Students, teachers, parents, alumni, and guests gathered at Sucat Senior High School (SSHS) on September 30, 2025 to celebrate its first founding anniversary through a Color Fun Run with the theme "SSHS: Rooted in Purpose, Soaring in Unity, Igniting Excellence".

‎The event began with a warm-up session led by Mr. Marc Lester Gonzales. Students assembled with enthusiasm and prepared for the Fun Run, which encouraged physical activity and companionship. Participants ran along the designated route, showing support for one another and reflecting the shared spirit of the SSHS community.

‎After the run, students joined the Zumba activity entitled “Galaw Sucsenians,” led by the Bagong Alabang Zumba Group, which energized the crowd and created a lively atmosphere. A Certificate of Appreciation was awarded to the group, presented by the GPTA President. 

‎The program continued with a prayer led by Ms. Janelaira Piquero, SSLG Secretary, followed by the Philippine National Anthem sung by the Himig Sucsenians. Congressman Jaime  "Jimmy" Fresnedi then delivered his message of support; praising the students for their active participation and expressed appreciation for the school’s efforts. Principal Evano followed with his remarks, reflecting on the school’s journey during its first year. He emphasized the importance of student discipline, cooperation, and involvement in school activities.

‎Dr. Violeta M. Gonzales, Schools Division Superintendent, delivered the keynote address. She described SSHS as a young school that has taken root and begun to grow. She highlighted the importance of collaboration among students, teachers, and familiesfamilies. Following this, she encouraged everyone to continue striving for excellence. She referred to the school as a “sapling that has not only taken root but has grown robust,” and reminded students to carry the fire of achievement into the future.

‎The celebration continued with a Field Demonstration by grade 11 and 12 students from different pathways and  strands. After the segment, colored powder filled the grounds with vibrant hues, followed by the Splash Festival, where a fire truck sprayed water over the crowd. A raffle draw followed, bringing excitement to both students and teachers.

‎The school then recognized the Top 10 Completers of the Fun Run. By finishing the run in less than 30 minutes, Lhance Christopher C. Bosas ranked first, followed by Kyle Castro in second, Prince Ghelo L. Masikip in third, Jhon Gherven Sedigo in fourth, Troiland Tabaino in fifth, Kristoff Quider in sixth, Nick Pelias in seventh, Jhon Chris Cabasag in eighth, Dave Gallo in ninth, and John Rhex Crisostomo in tenth.


‎The Color Fun Run provided students with an opportunity to participate, connect, and celebrate the school’s progress, reflecting the values of SSHS and marking a meaningful start to its journey as an institution.

‎To conclude the celebration, closing remarks were delivered by Ma'am Emelda A. Ozaraga, Assistant to the Principal and Head Teacher III, who expressed gratitude for the support of the SSHS community and pride in the school’s accomplishments. Her message emphasized the importance of unity and collaboration in building a strong foundation for the future.
