On the 3rd day of October Sucat Senior High School celebrated Teacher's Day with a program full of gratitude, recognition, and entertainment dedicated to its beloved teachers. The said event gave emphasis to the role of our educators in nurturing students. As part of the occasion, teachers were introduced one by one and greeted by Reizen Buna and Rohn Pacoma, setting a welcoming tone for the faculty and guests.
The program commenced with an inspirational message delivered by OIC-Principal Dr. Jay Boy Evano, who praised the teacher's dedication and engaged with everyone to elevate their support and appreciation for our teachers.
After that, a message of gratitude was then delivered by SSLG President, Cristina Cipriano expressing her thanks for the school's organization for their collaborative efforts in preparing such a meaningful event. She emphasized how teachers go beyond their own duties just to guide and support their students.
To fill the air with energy, the student choir Himig SucSenian led an exciting "Guess the Picture" game, where teachers and students participated. The teacher participants were Sir France, Ma'am Lumalang, Ma'am Faye, Ma'am Marvs, and Ma'am Selencio. While students participants were Justine Poรฑado, Althea Rejuso, Romer Sanding, Alessandra Toros, and Drew Tabingo.
Part of the teachers' day celebration is an activity called "Mini Me" where selected students from different pathways and strands represent their beloved teacher imitating their styles and nature. Meanwhile, next on the program was the awarding of certificates for Mini Me teacher, presented by SSLG Secretary Janelaira Piquero and SSLG Auditor Alessandra Toros, recognizing students who portrayed their favorite teacher the best.
Next on the agenda is the very well awaited Popularity Contest presented by Ma'am Marianne Montilla in which the top three most popular teachers awarded were; Ma'am Elizabeth with 416 votes, Ma'am Marvy with 499 votes, and Sir Roman who secured the top spot with 1320 votes.
After that, the presentation of Dedication to Duty Awards was led by OIC-Principal Dr. Jay Boy Evano, where he honoured teachers for Perfect Attentdance, Lighthouse Awards, and Heart of the Classroom.
Energy further lives up coming from the performances prepared by students, including a song dedicated to teachers by PVA 1101, a dance performance by Cypheria and SSLG, and a musical number from the SSHS Band, Midnight Stars. But there's more to that, raffle draws were also held throughout the program, which delighted teachers and staff.
The program concluded with closing remarks delivered by Ma'am Marianne Montilla, who expressed another accomplishment of everyone throughout the noble mission of teaching.
